What you earn

Free Pro while you're an active ambassador: 100 Coffee Credits and 25 minutes of AI practice calls every month. If you stop being an ambassador, Pro ends 14 days later unless you subscribe. Anything you bought and any payouts you earned stay yours. On top of that, a flat $20 for every student who signs up through your link and pays for a subscription, paid monthly by PayPal Goods and Services after a 30-day hold. Ambassadors also keep the standard referral reward every account earns. A friend who signs up with a .edu email earns you 10 Coffee Credits and gets 30 for their free trial.

How it works

Share the referral link your account already has. Anyone who creates an account through it is attributed to you automatically. Commission is earned when a referred student makes a first real payment, not when they sign up, so a trial on its own does not pay. Earnings clear a 30-day hold and then go out in a monthly payout.

Who it is for

Students who already talk about careers, recruiting, and internships with their friends. Club leaders, peer advisors, and anyone whose group chat asks them how to reach alumni. People who use Coffee Chats themselves. The programme is kept to a few dozen people, so a good application can still be declined when a school is already covered.

The rules

Ambassadors are independent contractors, not employees, with no quotas and no required hours. Payouts go by PayPal Goods and Services and require authorization to work in the United States. Students on an F-1 or J-1 visa should speak to their DSO before joining and before accepting any payout. A tax form is collected out of band before the first payout, and Coffee Chats never stores a tax identification number. Purchased and scraped contact lists are prohibited and there is no way to upload recipients. School logos, seals, and names may not be used to imply an endorsement. Posts about Coffee Chats must disclose the ambassador relationship and the commission, which is a Federal Trade Commission requirement.

How to apply

The application lives on your Coffee Chats account, so sign in first. Answer five questions: your school, your graduation year, why you, where you would share your link, and your PayPal email, which can wait until you are approved. We read every application and reply within a week.
