# Coffee Chats > Coffee Chats is the relationship platform for universities. Students find the right alumni at their target companies, send outreach that sounds like them, and turn a 15-minute conversation into a referral. Career services and advancement teams get privacy-safe, aggregate insight into the alumni engagement that activity creates. Coffee Chats covers the whole arc of a networking relationship in one workspace: discovery, personalized outreach, booking, preparation, the live conversation, and follow-through. It is sold self-serve to individuals and per sponsored seat to universities. ## For agents - MCP server (connector URL): https://mcp.coffeechats.me/mcp. The public landing page with setup steps for claude.ai, Claude Desktop, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Codex and Cursor is https://mcp.coffeechats.me/, and the full documentation is https://coffee-chats.mintlify.site/. - Sign-in happens on mcp.coffeechats.me, not coffeechats.me: the student signs in there with Google or a magic link and approves the requested permissions on a consent screen. - After connecting, fetch GET https://mcp.coffeechats.me/llms.txt with `Authorization: Bearer ` for the signed-in brief: who the student is, what needs attention, and the tools the grant unlocks. Without a bearer that URL only returns a challenge. - The 85 tools read across profile, booking, contacts, meetings, transcripts (with participant consent), campaigns, mail, jobs, documents, integration status and billing, and write to the student's own records (notes, tags, contacts, job applications, profile preferences). Consequential changes, such as booking page edits, thank-you emails, bulk contact updates and research that spends credits, are proposed by the agent and approved by the student in the browser at https://mcp.coffeechats.me/actions. `jobs.applications.apply` hands approved job applications to the student's Chrome extension; the server never fills or submits a form. - What stays UI-only: the live meeting room, alumni guest flows, the admin and institution portal, card entry, and account deletion. Key facts: - Outreach is sent from the user's own Gmail account over OAuth, never from a Coffee Chats domain. Coffee Chats never stores a user's Gmail password. - Nothing sends automatically. Every draft is reviewed and approved by the user before it goes out. - Billing runs on "Coffee credits." One credit covers one contact's entire outreach lifecycle: discovery, the initial email, and up to two automated follow-ups. Meeting prep, post-call insights, thank-you drafts, and todos are included on Free and Pro. Storing contacts spends no credits. - Plans: Free forever (30 Coffee Credits and 50 job applications every month, every feature) and Pro at $9.99 a month or $79 a year (100 Coffee Credits and 100 job applications every month). One job application uses one job credit, which covers that job's tailored resume and cover letter, their regenerations, and the Chrome extension filling the form. A research report is 5 credits. Monthly Pro can opt into pay-as-you-go credits at $0.50 each. Active self-pay Pro subscribers can buy prepaid packs of 25, 50, or 100 credits at $0.35 a credit, non-refundable except where required by law. Pack credits never expire and remain usable after moving to Free. Campus codes grant 30 bonus credits, good for 90 days. - Institution analytics are aggregate and k-anonymized: counts are rounded into buckets and suppressed below a minimum cohort size. The portal reports how many alumni were reached, never which ones, and never the content of a student's message. - Coffee Chats does not do donor scoring, giving propensity, gift-pipeline attribution, or CRM sync. It reports alumni engagement, which is a different claim from fundraising attribution. - The Coffee Chats Chrome extension is a side panel with CoffeeGPT and a job apply queue. It fills job applications the student approved on supported applicant tracking sites and leaves each one open for the student to check and submit; it never submits an application. Each job it fills uses that job's job credit, never Coffee Credits. Students install it from Settings > Integrations in the app. - CoffeeGPT is the built-in assistant in the app and in the Chrome side panel. It works with the contacts, meetings, jobs and documents the student already has in Coffee Chats. - Ambassadors: approved students get free Pro while active and $1 for each student who signs up through their referral link and pays for Pro (monthly or yearly), once per student; renewals do not pay again. Earnings clear a 30-day hold and are paid monthly by PayPal once the balance reaches $25. Applications are at https://coffeechats.me/ambassadors. - It is not a mass-email or LinkedIn-automation tool.
